As some of you already know, I have a special someone who's birthday so luckily (for him) falls on Valentine's day, February the 14th. And this year, Mr.V turns big old 21! So it HAD to be something awesome and awesome I tried to achieve. :D
Because it was in between the CNY celebration period, it made the party planning a little bit tougher as I had to get everyone in with the secret of throwing him a surprise party at a restaurant. A month! A month before the actual party date and I was already running around like crazy trying to get everything half done before people start disappearing during CNY period and the worst, doing it secretly and behind his back. He is good at figuring things out and I suck so bad at keeping secrets - so yeah, it was definitely something alright.. :P
So I decided on throwing Mr.V a party at a restaurant for the first time in his 21 years and he seemed to like the surprise although there were couple of times some people almost accidentally spilled the beans. Overall, it was a good day and night for him but a good night for the rest of us. (Because his friends had to decorate the restaurant before time and I had to distract him the entire day! Super tiring I tell you!) :\
So off we go bright and early (in our teenage bio-clocks) at 11am to visit my grandmother before heading to Damansara :)
Opening his bday gift in the car right after leaving grandma's place. He couldn't stop bugging me for it and I, of course, didn't let him get over the excitement that IT was in my bag since morning. :D Ahh yesh yesh, I am cheeky :P
Then we had some dim sum for lunch at Hong Kee Dim Sum (I think its called Hong Kee :\ ) at Damansara Jaya before heading to One Utama.
Sorry for the lacking of food pictures, was too engrossed in eating and we didn't order much since it was only the two of us. Nonetheless, do you crave for dim sum nowwww?? :P
We were stoning around at One Utama since 1.30pm because we had nothing else to do and booking the 4.40pm movie was on purpose. Everyone was suppose to be at Kitchen Creatures at 6.30pm and the birthday boy was suppose to be there only at 7pm. So, the timing was just right! Smart ei ;)
While we were busy doing nothing over at One U, Mr.V's friends were busting their asses off trying to get everything right at the other side. From rushing people to get there asap to getting the cake and making sure everything is in place... they did it all. And I feel the need to express my uttermost gratitude to Mr.V's awesome awesome and also what I've learn to call as my friends as well, for helping me out tremendously in setting up the night while I distract Mr.V. You guys are awesome lah... :')

And after much anticipation, night finally came and it was time for the surprise!
On the way to Kitchen Creatures, Mr.V already spotted a few cars of his friends which made me super anxious that he'd find out about the party at this very last minute. *Only a few more steps... oh my god..* So amazed that I didn't hit anything on the road cause I was driving under so much stress next to me, I parked and played it cool. Dragging him to the restaurant instead of letting him find his friends who claimed that they were at KFC was actually nerve-wrecking. He was like a kid! Searching high and low for his friends in excitement!
Waiting...
SURPRISE!! :D :D
And we're here!
Mr.V's nephew trying to smile for the camera :D
Wondermilk's cuppacakes as his bday cake because I know how much he loves it. And a few 'BMW(s)' for him as the design. ;)
Mr.V's family
The surprise party was a success! Everything went pretty well that night and it was worth a month's of rush, pain, torture and etc. to see his happiness glowing at that very moment when he stepped into the restaurant and realized that it was all for him. His friends, his family, everything. Despite the few down moments, I am glad to say Mr.V finally had an awesome 21st SURPRISE bday party! :)
Close friends, I would sincerely like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for making that night possible. That night would have never happened if it weren't for you people. Thank you. :)
Hope you had a blast,
Happy 21st birthday, darling. <3
