Clumsy; that's my middle name

It's true!

To my close ones, incidents of me falling down is pretty much as frequent as rain.

Over the recent years, I have been hitting on small injuries here and there all over my body. And, it is not funny anymore. :( Let me list it out and you'll get what I mean.

  • Mid '07 - Fell down the school stairs after playing a game of bollywood with Mr.V. (Bollywood: The act of pulling each other left and right repeatedly as a form of flirtatious communication manner). Tore ligament/tendon on the right ankle but that's how Mr.V and I started off our romance, I guess. Right ankle is still loose until today, making me feel wobbly on heels sometimes. Not cool.

  • End '07 - Fell down on my knees in Coach, Pavilion KL after missing a two-steps mini stairs. Decorated both knees and legs with blue/black patches. One of the first few outings with Mr.V's family - still not cool man, not cool.

  • Early '08 - Slipped on a wet surfaced floor and fell down outside Tracy's home and rolled down her car porch hitting my head on her dad's car tires.

*Managed to survive the jinx until '10... or I just couldn't remember*

  • Mid '10 - Drank Jagerbomb shots for Sheena's birthday over at Republic and got blinded for a while on the way to the bathroom. Black stage magically appeared in the middle of the dark room, so I tripped and fell, again. Scrapped my knees and had a green lotus flower growing bigger and bigger for 2 weeks.

  • Mid '11 - Went to Philip Island, Australia in the night to see penguins come up shore. Got too excited after seeing one or two penguins, I tried moving to lower seats to get a clearer view and tripped over the seats and ambushed a poor girl right in front of me. Knees and left ankle got busted while my palms were scrapped.

  • Mid August '11 - Missed a step on the stairs outside Belle Boutique after its event launch. Back and knees were bruised pretty badly and I had to move as slow as a turtle when I walk or even sit. UPDATE: Oh, and I tore my muscle on..... wait for it....... my THUMB. =.=

Yup, even the small muscles can't be safe.

Thumbs up.... NOT. :(

And boy, you don't know how bad it is to not be able to use your thumb! So hard to text, drive, wash anything or even eat when it is casted!

Thumbs up to those who can still use it freely... :(

UPDATE (30/9/11): Just.fell.down.again.at.a.mini.drain. HOMAHGAWD!! =.=

Arthur's Day 2011 with TAIO CRUZ!

Hands down, one of the most exciting events I've been to so far for 3 main reasons.

#1 - First huge event ever attended.
#2 - Awesome gigs/ performances
#3 - Two best words: MEDIA.PASS.

2011's Arthur's Day is actually my first ever experience to a Guinness event, and.... first ever huge concert event! As you know, this 'little girl' was once very protected by Mama/PapaGoose but I guess she is now allowed to spread her wings and fly a little bit more than usual recently. The whole idea of even receiving an invite pass was already mad exciting, and this is all made possible... thanks to Sid and Jenn. The icing of the cake of this megapalooza experience is of course the media pass!!

My photo buddy all night long!

Arthur's Day must-have picture site!

The jam to Speed City KL was mad as well! Stuck in the jam, bumper-to-bumper for 2 hours almost killed my spirit to party. We left Damansara at about 7-ish and guess what time we finally reached - 10PM! The event already started and we unfortunately, missed a few early gigs :(

Lesson learnt #1 - Always leave earlier no matter how much people say, 'Don't worry lah haiyo!' =\

Really cool lighting system GAB had on their stage
Moots DJ Skeletor

By the time we reached, DJ(s) were already spinning to get the crowd moving and hyped up for the upcoming gigs. Despite the fact that we were at the far end of the stage, we still moved our bootay(s) to the groove! Couldn't really bother about how funny we looked, all I could think of was to have fun :D

See how far the stage was? But we still grooved! ;)

And behold, the best performance of the entire night (to me, at least).... MIZZ NINA!

Okay, I may seem slightly bias because I took so many pictures of her, but I stand by my word and will still say she was the best gig of the night. Her performances were filled with so much energy and passion, you just had to move along with her dance moves! I know I was suppose to take pictures and not party too much, but I swear, I couldn't help myself but to jump/scream/dance/hop/sing along even though the camera was in my face. :P

Friends at the event!

After much cheering for the big moment, TAIO CRUZ finally showed up! And it was EPIC! Again, another sampat party moment with Trace but this time, we get to be in front next to the stage! Woots!

Taio Cruz sang about a total of 4/5 songs if I'm not mistaken and those were of course, party rocking songs that makes you unconsciously move your feet to the beat as well! I have friends who was with Mr.V that came just a few minutes after Taio Cruz started performing, which made them quite disappointed because it was already the last gig of the night. But all disappointments immediately got washed away as they enjoyed the last few hits from Taio Cruz. Well, better late than never because it was indeed worth the jam to Speed City! :D

Ball fight!!

Clearly I have a lot more to learn when it comes to taking pictures at events. When I get nervous/excited, I tend to somehow forget how to set my camera to the right settings. :( But, I am sure, with experience comes better pictures! So hopefully, there are more events to come where I can learn on how to take better event pictures.

Overall, despite being a first timer to a Guinness event and I don't have any other events to compare this to, I believe this is one of the most epic Arthur's Day based on friends' comments. If you missed out on this Arthur's Day, make sure you'd catch the next one because GAB really do know how to throw the party of the year! ;)

Hope you had as much fun as I did, or better yet, even more fun!

And once more, 'Cheers to Arthur'

Belle's Classic Boutique Lauching @ Bandar Puteri, Puchong

Last Sunday, I received an invitation to Belle's Classic Boutique's launching over at its new outlet in Bandar Puteri, Puchong. I was super excited to visit a boutique after so long as I haven't been shopping much because I splurged all my savings for my Australia trip. :(

Yes, my personal policy is... if you ain't got the pocket to pay shopping sprees, save yourself from the mental torture and don't enter a shop.

Parts of the boutique

One concept I like about this boutique is that it is very organized with a clean, simple design. Everything is arranged according to place which makes the shopping experience much easier. Have you been to those boutiques where they just chunk whatever they have on the shelves without arranging them into category? A huge turn off as I don't like running around the store just to look for a favorite piece of clothing.

Tops arranged according to colors
Tube tops arranged as well!

Party dresses in one corner
Skirts on a rack

See how organized goods makes it so much more appealing? :D

Super gorgeous dinner gowns

The section I always go back to stare at is the dinner gowns. Super super gorgeous collection of dinner dresses! Almost bought every single favorite of mine but I don't have events to where them to and also, the pocketful of 'sunshine'. But if I could, definitely splurged on these babies!

Belle's Classic Boutique also have beautiful accessories.

Pearl necklaces and chockers
A dramatic chocker for a more quiet dress to balance it out?
I have a pair of camera earrings too! A really cute addition to the earring collection!
Vintage
Clutches to go with the evening dresses

And another favorite section of mine in any store........ SHOES. :)

*ahhh.... melts*

I just had to try them on! It was staring at me the whole time there! :P

One thing I believe that will make a boutique stand out is how it provide good services to its customers, agree? Wouldn't you be happier knowing that you have shopped in a boutique who serves you well by giving you deserved promotions? Like.... on your birthday? :D

Birthday dress, here I come! :D

Belle's Classic Boutique also provide alteration services. You don't have to travel to a tailor to get your dress fix since you can now, adjust it at the boutique itself.

Yummy yummy strawberry tarts :3

Okay, you caught me! Of course, I wouldn't leave the boutique without trying on a few different outfits! :P
The advantages of being a girl... dressing up!

ULTIMATE.FAVORITE.

Glam, ain't it?

Party dress
Cheongsam

I personally really like this cheongsam-like dress but it is a bit too tight for me at the lower half :( Emo max!

On a more sparkly note, Kelvin Gems was there to provide us some jewelry making session where we were taught on how to make our own handmade jewelry. Super fun, I tell you!

All handmade!

Pearls

The other ladies created their lovely pair of handmade earrings but I am more of a bracelet person. So, I was allowed to create a charm bracelet instead! Wheee!

My chosen charms

Tadaaaa!!! Nice?? :D

Because MamaGoose loves charm bracelets, I decided to gift her this bracelet. :3 Such good daughter, I know. :') Kidding!

Oh! And one more thing! I didn't go home empty handed that day.... I got a beautiful white laced cheongsam! *excited*

Watch out CNY 2012! ;)

Special thank you(s) to gorgeous boutique owner, Chloe for the invitation to her lovely boutique and also Angi from Kelvin Gems for the jewelry making session!

What a girly way to base my Sunday on ;)

P/s: The boutique was so overwhelming, I fell down the stairs outside the boutique.... TWICE.
Haaa-haaa!

(Okay, I am kidding bout the overwhelming part... but I did fell down the stairs twice) :(
